What to put on the salary requirements field on a job application?
In this post, you'll learn:
• How to decide a salary range in a job application.
• A tactic to research salaries in Europe.
• How to research salary ranges.
When it comes to nightmares and job applications, the big hit is the salary requirement field. If you're in Europe and just filling in your job application right now, you're like, "oh my God, what should I put there as a salary range or a value?"
My answer to you is to research like there is no tomorrow and have a clear picture of what you want!
My hack in Europe: Austria is a country that regulates job openings, and usually, companies must disclose the salary range.
So go to LinkedIn and search for jobs in Austria. I mean jobs related to your job hunting process, which correspond to your title or position you want. Look for their salary ranges and also use Glassdoor. There is a valuable source of information there.
Then work on what you want, your minimum amount, and your minimum salary for that specific position in a particular company.
It's a combination of research and knowing your minimum desired salary that gives you a good guess on a job application.
Let's rock, ladies!
